This is the electricians knife from Vessel, it features a hefty blade that is extremely sharp out of the box but can still be removed for sharpening or replacement. The handle is made from elastomer and provides a firm grip for delicate work. The blade can also be adjusted to suit different applications, with 63mm being the maximum the blade can protrude. The slide that holds the blade is self locking however the knife also includes an adjustment dial that will really lock the blade in place, or it can simply be used to stop the blade from rattling whilst in storage.

An interesting feature of this knife is the slit blade that's built into the handle, it can be used to easily strip the outer sheath of flat cables by pulling the cable vertically through the sharp side of the slit.

This version comes with the stainless steel blade which is rust resistant, the other version can be found here and includes the alloy tool steel which is easier to sharpen.

*As this is a product made for Japanese specification cables, care must be taken to prevent the slit blade from cutting into the inner insulation of Australian flat TPS
